CREATIVE THINKING BEFORE TECHNICAL DEVELOPMENT

Build the Collection Before You Build the Garment

A strong collection begins with decisions about the customer, product mix, design language, colors, materials and how the individual styles work together. We can help organize those decisions before technical development begins.

01 — CREATIVE STRATEGY & PLANNING

Define the Direction of the Collection

STARTING AT $1,300 PER STYLE*

Creative strategy is for brands that need help turning a broad idea into a more focused collection plan. The goal is to establish direction before time and budget are committed to development.

MATERIAL DIRECTION

The Fabric Is Part of the Design

Silhouette alone does not define a garment. Fabric weight, stretch, drape, surface treatment, trims, color and finishing decisions can change how a design looks, feels and performs.

FABRIC & TRIM SOURCING

Find Materials That Support the Product

STARTING AT $1,100 PER STYLE*

Our sourcing support helps translate the design direction into practical fabric and trim options for review while keeping the intended garment, production requirements and brand positioning in mind.

  • Fabric and trim sourcing intake
  • Material research and supplier outreach

FABRIC TREATMENT MANAGEMENT

Develop the Surface, Color & Finish

STARTING AT $1,300 PER STYLE*

Some garments need more than an off-the-shelf fabric. Treatment planning can help coordinate the desired appearance, color, hand feel or finish with outside specialty processes.

  • Treatment planning and review
  • Artwork and lab-dip coordination
  • Dyeing and washing coordination
  • Custom print and surface-treatment planning
  • Embroidery or specialty send-out coordination
  • Approval and production follow-through

FROM CONCEPT TO PHYSICAL PRODUCT

Sample Creation & Prototyping

Once the creative direction and materials are clear enough, the project can move into technical development. This stage translates the approved design into patterns, samples, fittings and the information required to prepare a garment for production.

DEVELOPMENT SUPPORT STARTING AT $1,050 PER STYLE*
01 TECHNICAL REVIEW

Review the approved design direction, references, measurements and intended construction details.

02 TECH PACK DIRECTION

Organize the manufacturing information required to communicate the garment clearly.

03 PATTERN DEVELOPMENT

Build the garment's technical shape and construction foundation from the approved design.

04 FIRST PROTOTYPE

Create a physical garment for silhouette, proportion, construction and fit review.

05 FIT & REVISION

Review the garment and make applicable corrections before final approval.

06 PRODUCTION-READY APPROVAL

Finalize the approved garment foundation before moving into the applicable manufacturing program.

DESIGN, PATTERN MAKING AND SAMPLE DEVELOPMENT ARE CONNECTED — BUT EACH HAS ITS OWN SCOPE.

Creative design determines what the product should become. Pattern making and sample development determine how that product will be constructed, fitted and prepared for manufacturing. Final pricing depends on the actual garment and required development work.

BEYOND PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT

The Garment Is Only One Part of the Brand

Once the collection exists, the product still needs to be presented clearly. Creative support can extend into photoshoot planning, production coordination, visual presentation and broader branding and digital marketing support.
